convention schedule and merchandise

So it's time to make my report on the last two conventions of the year...

Anime Weekend Atlanta:

I had a LOT of fun at this convention XD it involved a lot of goofing off (just check out my current webcam pic to get the idea)... Our hotel was super cheap, very spacious (for once we could fit everyone on beds and actaully had extra space left over)... and they had the BEST complimentary breakfast ever... it included every western breakfast food imaginable... and they made omelets to order @o@;; DELICIOUS. I also made decent profit at this convention and was able to see a bunch of old friends like

However.. it was HORRIBLE timing for me school-wise... it really made me decide that I can't afford to go to more conventions until school is over x__x;; that means no Katsucon or Anime Boston this year.

Traveling's always an adventure for me lol... my bookbag's zippers broke at the airport on the way there and I almost missed my plane and had to hold the bag together - my hand was DYING... My luggage was also 2 lbs overweight both on the way there and back so I had to repack at the airport each time. On the way back, I cut my hand while repacking and had to find band aids so I wouldn't bleed everywhere >_>;;... I then proceeded to lose my boarding pass and had to get a new one... then left my driver's license on my plane seat and had to go back to retrieve it. 8'D..

Anime USA
Hmm well this was the first convention I was actually 'invited' to - and I were asked to make the badge and sign art for the convention. It was a lot of fun. The convention staff were very nice and accomodating xD...

We were really confused though - we didn't really know what to do because we hadn't clarified everything beforehand - which meant we weren't sure what we were classified as... artists? guests? staff? lol... and also weren't sure where the hotel room was... We ended up circling the hotel twice before realizing that it was the location of the convention...(this involved several questions and slow realizations: wow there are cosplayers there... is there another convention on the same weekend?... heyyy I think our hotel is the Hyatt too!... OHWAIT that's where we're supposed to be! TURN BACK!!)

I think the highlight of the convenion was the fact that we were two tables away from Jo Chen @o@... I pretty much spent the entire weekend staring at her art and trying not to seem TOO creepy despite going over to her table every few seconds... but she was super nice T___T;; I bought a giant signed copy of her DMC poster and am super happy

We were seated next to and shared her hotel room - she was also really sweet and made our weekend enjoyable

I was really bogged down by schoolwork though - I had to arrive very late on Friday so I wouldn't miss classes and also go back to my room early on Saturday so I could do more homework ...

It was definitely a fun experience though! I won't pass up the chance to do it again next year!

Leftover Prints & Stuff
Since I'm done with conventions until next summer, I'm going to be selling all my leftover stock as soon as I have time to take inventory - for now just check out the link at the top of this journal to see what I have. It needs some updating though and I might give discounts. Keep an eye out for that in the next few days!
